About me

Hi! My name is Olivia. I grew up in the Yukon. I am 30 years old and have been working full time as a paramedic for about 5 years. I frequently get asked by my little community to house-sit and have experience in many different types of homes and with many different types of animals. I have been getting more and more house-sitting requests and have been expanding my client list. I get lots of great feedback and figured that the requests have been growing enough that I should start standardizing my fees and care. 

Our family always had dogs while I was growing up, and at times the odd other critters such as cats, rabbits and hamsters. I have always had a deep love for animals of all kinds, even the creepy crawlies, and have felt that love in return ten fold. One of the reasons I love house-sitting is to meet more amazing critters! I have dog friends that I've made through my house-sitting journeys and am happy to have them join me in my adventures. It is very important to me that the clients animals feel extra loved while the owners are away. 

I have experience with horses and currently lease a horse and am learning to ride. I've learned a lot about the horse world in the last year or so, and have had the privilege to meet so many lovely (and spicy) ponies. Horses offer incredible emotional insight and can teach us so much about our mental state, emotional communication and inner peace. While I am a relative beginner to riding, I am very comfortable with ground work and handle challenging behavior calmly and empathetically.

My experience in animal house-sitting is expanding and I look forward to getting to experiences many more types of animals. So far I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, ducks, horses and goats. If you have anything not on this list, I am happy to expand my experience with your animal care needs. I am flexible and curious and my vow is to give all your animals the love and care they deserve.
